I’m not sure if she’s been replaced by an alien replicant or something but my wife has been acting very strangely lately. She came home from work and told me she had been looking at cars online and found one I might like. Looking at cars! That is not my wife. Anyway, even though we won’t be set to buy for months, and I’m not at all convinced that a 3 year old Audi is right for someone who keeps cars for a decade and those tires do not look like they’d be happy off from smooth pavement , we’re going to go look at an SQ5 at the local CarMax this weekend. At least it will give me a chance to sit in some cars and eliminate the non-contenders.

Didn’t read that article, but I have to agree.
She looks very metallic black and chunky and has an uncanny resemblance to a Q5. That is very weird!

Ok I read the article.
Idk if this is still there case, but CarMax used to take off the tires that came with every car and put on new shitty tires. See if they still do that.

It wouldn’t surprise me a bit, or at least that they put shitty tires on the cars that have worn originals. My wife’s car was totaled while we were in the middle of buying a house last year so we needed something quick for the cash of the insurance settlement and the In finiti she got had some shit-ass tires on them that we tossed in favor of some Michelins. I can’t remember the brand now but they were a (lower-tier) name brand but the particular model of tire was cheap shit.

I found the Q5 to be really lacking inside compared to what I was expecting. I guess it competes with the X3, which is also pretty terrible inside in base trim. I love the A6/7, so maybe a higher trim SQ5 might be better.
Get a Range Rover. Women love Range Rovers.

I’m reluctant to go with an Audi due to reliability and maintenance concerns let alone a Range Rover . Getting a better idea of what they’re like “ in the flesh” is why I’m going to go take a look. I agree with your opinion of the X3 interior and if it’s like that it would be off my shopping list. I also want to see how an older premium car compares to a newer mainstream one when it comes to the interior.
